I recently devised a plan to pour our creativity into transforming the wine cave at this breathtaking venue into an intimate and romantic wedding space. This was a collaborative effort involving a fantastic team of professionals, amazing local businesses, as well as cherished family and friends who all answered the call to to work on what was an intense and fabulous day at Twin Rocks Estate Winery. I could not be prouder or more excited to show you what we achieved.
When Twin Rocks Estate finally opened in 2023, I took a tour and was astounded at the entire property. I immediately recognized that this venue was a game changer for our area, offering a Napa level experience in quality and architectural sophistication. The very first of its kind in Placer County. This is when I first saw the wine cave; just walking into the cave, feeling the quiet intimacy of the space and of course the stunning, hand made cave door; my creative brain immediately began to see it transform into a secret garden—this was an exciting vision that thrilled me. At this time my business was very small and I knew it would take a team to make it real. I will always cherish being the first florist on property, and I am deeply thankful for the chance to demonstrate the beauty achievable even in the seemingly most unlikely space.
I was fortunate to collaborate closely with my amazing team on every aspect of the design and production. I’m tremendously grateful for the talented Terri Franzoni (C.F.A., with over 30 years of expertise), who brought her skills to the table shaping the creative process and overseeing production, turning our shared vision into a refined floral aesthetic. And, for the phenomenal Shirley Redublo—our unofficial C.O.O.—supporting us by managing operations, floral work, and inventory, keeping everything on track in our compact studio. Together, our efforts led to an incredible floral transformation of the cave, breathing life into the secret garden concept.
In 2025, I opened our new 1200 sq' ft., workshop in Newcastle; we affectionately call 'The Hive'. I also welcomed another amazing woman and valued member to my team; Valerie Uyeda is a powerhouse of production and has quickly become an essential member, enhancing our efforts with her expertise and dedication.
The future of Thistle Bee Florals is set in motion. We create bespoke florals to meet the unique qualities, dreams and wishes of our treasured clients. It is at the core, an incredible honor and in the finished projects you will see the heart of every member of my team. It is our joy.

When we finished our floral plan for the wine cave, I knew we needed to go over the top with details. The one thing that was missing was diamonds. Rosie, owner of Carte Jewelers, brought us a stunning selection to choose from. She is a licensed Diamond-ologist and provides a personalized and curated experience.

The gorgeous couple in this photo you may recognize from our Bailarin shoot. This is Pedro and Natalie from Naian Photography. Natalie spent 14 hours with us on this shoot. Her passion, generous heart and artists eye captured the winery, our gorgeous models and the stunning flowers perfectly.

When I called the Tuxedo Den in Sacramento and introduced myself, they had never heard of my little floral business. And yet, when I told them of my plan to turn a wine cave, at a new venue in Placery County into a wedding site and "could I borrow some Tuxedos?" they didn't bat an eye. Addie and Asher were so very good all day long for us. Those cheeks and that smile would make any wedding a full circle event. I am so thankful for you both and for your lovely Mum and Dad for giving us these lovely little angels to love.
